Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and ten European leaders, including those from Germany, France, Italy, and the UK, pledged stronger security guarantees and a multinational European force to Ukraine during a meeting in Berlin last month. The EU reaffirmed its support for Ukraine’s accession to the Union.
